Contact
One email. One business day.
The terms are the same before and after you talk to us — so there is nothing to negotiate before you write.
How to reach us
Email the studio.
Tell us three things: what the work is, what "done" looks like, and the timeline you have in mind. That is enough for the studio to reply with a real answer instead of a request for a call.
You get a reply within one business day.
Prefer to talk? Say so in one sentence and you'll get times within a business day — we bring the metric we'd measure, not a pitch.
No trackers, no analytics, no cookies — nothing here watches you. Every page is hand-written and served as a plain static file: this one and its stylesheet are under 60 KB of HTML and CSS together. Open your browser's View Source and read every line.
Your data
Where your data lives.
Before: this page. It collects nothing — the note above is the whole of it, and you can read every line in View Source.
Inside an engagement the posture is the same by design. You run on your own API keys and provider accounts (BYOK), so your data moves through your provider under your terms, not ours. You own all code and IP from day one — no proprietary runtime you cannot self-host, no lock-in. The studio keeps none of your business data after handover, and regulated data — PHI, anything HIPAA-covered — is out of scope pre-launch.
The terms, before you ask
Published, and unchanged by the conversation.
Same prices, same guarantee, same ownership — before and after you talk to us.
Inbound intake and lead triage, fixed in scope, built in 30 days.
from $6,000A production system, scoped and delivered end to end.
from $8,000Monitoring, optimization, expansion — scope fixed in writing before it is sold.
from $1,500/monthA founding-client price applies while the studio's casebook is empty: the first two engagements book the Pilot at $4,500, labeled as such in the statement of work. Same scope, same proof, same guarantee — the discount is the price of being first, not a lighter build.
Miss a signed milestone date for reasons attributable to us and you receive an automatic 10% credit of that milestone's fee. No dispute process. When there is no further invoice to credit — a missed final milestone — the credit is refunded within 14 days instead.
- You own all IP and code from day one.
Before you ask
Questions worth answering up front.
- Who owns the code?
- You do — all of the code and IP, from day one, and in writing. Ownership is not something the studio holds back to negotiate at the end of the engagement.
- What happens if a milestone slips?
- A signed date missed for reasons attributable to the studio applies an automatic 10% credit of that milestone's fee to your next invoice. There is nothing to file and no dispute to open. When there is no further invoice to credit — a missed final milestone — the credit is refunded within 14 days instead.
- How does pricing work?
- Every price is published, and it reads the same before and after you make contact. Talking to the studio does not move a figure, in either direction.
- Can we run on our own API keys?
- Yes. Bring your own keys if you prefer to run on your own provider accounts and your own budget.
- Can you build a persona-fronted assistant?
- Yes — a named, branded assistant your staff or customers talk to, with the persona owned by you: name, likeness, branding, all IP. The system underneath is measured like any other build, and it always discloses that it is automated. The full catalog is on the Services page.
- What exactly is Assay?
- Assay is the studio's proof layer — infrastructure that checks the work, not a person or an assistant. The name is literal: an assay proves the metal. Every change is proven before it ships, so what you receive runs on time, every time.
- Where is the studio?
- California, and remote-first. The work happens where the people are, and the terms read the same wherever you are.
The studio
Who builds this.
Urverk is a solo studio, run by Vincent Thoo. One person is accountable for what ships and for the guarantee behind it — there is no account layer between you and the engineer doing the work.
The studio is its own first client. Every system offered to a client is built and run here before it is sold: the operator and intake systems that assist the studio's own work, and Assay, the proof layer that checks every change. That is where the guarantee comes from. It is built against a failure this industry keeps repeating — fixed-bid software that overruns and hands over work no one can verify — with the opposite on purpose: a published price, proof at every milestone, an automatic credit when a signed date slips for our reasons, and your ownership of everything from day one. The name is the Swedish word for clockwork: work that runs on time, every time, and can prove it.
